I had a strong desire to create a story that focused on the importance of imagination. I wrote and illustrated this book that features a boy and his dog who discover a strange bottle on the beach after a storm has passed through. We follow along as he imagines all the things it could be, or what it could contain.
Here are 4 select panels from the 15 completed in pen and ink on bristol.
Our story begins as a boy and his faithful dog discover a strange bottle on the beach.

Maybe it's part of some pirate treasure that washed up during the storm. There must be more somewhere.
Maybe the bottle contains a potion that would turn me into a super genius! I could figure out how space ships could travel faster than light.
The bottle ended up containing just a bit of smelly water.
So he let his dog, Fred, have some fun with the seagulls.
